1Can you explain how the correct
primary structure is important in the function of a protein? (3marks)

2Can you explain why the protein may become non-functional if the primary structure changes? (3 marks)

I wrote for the first one that the primary structure determines the structure and the function of the protein. is it right?

Yes you're right but speak about amino acids etc.

You're correct, but it's a very vague answer for three marks. Talk about HOW the sequence of amino acids may determine the overall structure of the protein and its function. Things like the different types of amino acid (polar/non-polar, basic/acidic etc) and how interactions between them create the higher structure.

Once you've discussed this think about how faulty structure might impact on function for the second question.
