no but we are getting a new provider and I'm banned from a few sites, so this could workout nicely.

Unless you got a Static IP, you should have a Dynamic IP system meaning your IP address changes from time to time.

pretty sure I dont..every time I check my IP its the same.

The important address is the address your router gets from the ISP as reported by sites like whatsmyip.org. Most connections are generally getting a dynamic address but it may only change if the router gets rebooted.
Unless you have a static IP. Turn router off. Make dinner. Eat dinner. Turn router back on and youll have a new IP address.
