I started September on an adult nursing course, but since the first day wasn't sure I had made the right decision, now near the end of semester 1 and after a few placement shifts I know I should have gone into Child nursing, Has anyone else had the same issue?????

Changing branches FROM adult is fairly rare , and if it does happen it will almost certainly involve a deferment .

What is the rationale behind you decision ?

what placement environment has made you decide this ?

If you think that Children;s nursing is less demanding, it is important to note that every time you look after after a child patient you have several other 'patients' that come attached to your actual child patient - so you trade parental involvement in personal care for the psychological care of the parents
