Can anyone help me think of real world applications to numerical integration?

I know all about the various methods, but if I'm honest, I'm not entirely sure what they are used for

The only things I can think of are:

  • Radar guns to measure speed of motorists (tabular data)
  • Determining force being exerted on a tall building as a result of irregular winds
  • Cross-sectional areas of lakes

Can anyone think of any more?

The solution of any differential equation at all. That is, almost all of physics.
