Revision Tips For OCR A Chem f325

Hi, I'm finding this exam really hard to get my head around, I recently sat this exam and got a U in this exam with an overall D in chemistry. What would you suggest is the best way to revise this unit, would doing past papers open book help me understand the work. I got a D in unit 4 but at least I understood it and knew how to apply it , as i got my transcript back and so know what kind of mistakes I made which were really just careless mistakes, so I'm confident I can push that up to a A if not a B at least, I really need to get a B overall in chemistry and in AS I got a B overall.
