I am interested in Creative writing and would like to know if distant learning course is that same as brick University.

It depends on what you mean with "the same". If the provider is a recognised University, then the quality of the materials is likely to be high. You can do some research on the University/provider to find reviews, how respected they are, etc. I don't know about creative writing, but, for example, the Open University's MBA is triple accredited, so in that case a distance learning Master's degree is very valuable.

Of course, the experience will be different. There will be less interaction with other students and less face-to-face contact with your professor. You'll need to self-motivate. Creative writing is quite suited for that, though.
