BTEC Applied Sciences, but I'm terrible at Science in general?

At the moment I am a 15 year old, in Year 11, and I'm currently choosing my A-Levels and one BTEC to consider a future in Law. However, it is advised that I take one BTEC or A-Level regarding a core subject, such as Maths, or Science. However, when I sat my core science exam, I only got a C. D in Biology, C in Physics, C in Chemistry, and a B in the coursework (I didn't take my coursework seriously which is why I got such a low grade for it).
I am considering taking BTEC applied sciences to fulfill the role of that one core subject; I am mainly a literate person. I am hoping to choose the following:

A-Level English Language.
A-Level English Literature.
A-Level History.
AS-Level Law.

I am considering substituting Law for BTEC applied sciences, but I am not good at science. Should I still apply for BTEC Applied Sciences? Do I have a shot of getting a D*?

I'm new so apologies if I've done something wrong.

Alternatively, I can go for another set of College subjects: A-Level English Language & Literature. A-Level History. AS-Level Law. BTEC Applied Sciences.
