I am not sure what you are asking

Are you doing m1 and m2 at the same time?

I'll be doing M2 a few weeks before M1 so we could say quite at the same time yes.

M2 does assume knowledge of M1 but it will not be impossible

Thanks for your reply. What will I have problems with having not done M1 before hand?

I think it will cause some issues - it does not really make sense to do them the incorrect way around

Are you being taught this material?

I'm currently doing M2 and M3 and did M1 last year, the stuff on collisions definitely builds on M1- why don't you look at the spec? it depends on your board tbh

I'm doing A2 Maths and AS further Maths. AS FM modules we are taking: FP1, FP2 and S2 but S2 is really difficult for me as I don't like it so I'm planning to have someone teach me M2 instead of S2. Hence why I'm doing M1 and M2

Yes you require C1,C2,C3,M1 for M2 as I'm also doing M2 while doing M1 but having done physics you should be able to do chapter one fairly easyily. I've only done first 2 chapters yet so I'm not sure how much physics will help for the rest of M2. But I'm sure you'll get the hang of it, if need be study the topic required from M1 for M2.

Yes

For specific details you have to look at the specification for your examiner.

Thanks for the advice, we are going to finish C3 at the end of the month or maybe a little later then the end of November. After that we will start M1 at school

The specification for the units in Edexcel A level maths is here
http://www.edexcel.com/quals/gce/gce...s/default.aspx
In addition, The (new) getting started document in the teacher support materials has a useful table that summarises the links between M1 and M2
