From Wikipedia.

In sociology, homosociality means same-sex relationships that are not of a romantic or sexual nature, such as friendship, mentorship, or others. The opposite of homosocial is heterosocial, preferring non-sexual relations with the opposite sex. In group relations involving more than two individuals, the relation can be either homosocial (involving same-sex social relations), bisocial involving social relation with both sexes or heterosocial involving only opposite sex.
Please vote in the poll, which will arrive shortly.

PS: I know this thread is not about sexual relationships or advice, but it is about relationships, so I put it here, but feel free to move it if you think it is more appropriate elsewhere. Thanks.

Unsure why everything needs a name.

I have both male and female friends, so whatever you want to call that.

Sociologists find a name for everything. It's how they justify their existence. Nah, in all seriousness, it's just easier to type out. You would be "bisocial".

That would be antisocial I think. I completely understand it. Well that part at least, not the rest of it.

Please don't try and erase otherkin, it is hard enough for us as it is without sociologists trying to hide our presence in the world. Thanks.

I'm sorry, it was just ignorance on my part, not malice. I have googled it now. You can vote according to whether your animal friends are of the same gender as you or mixed. Accidentally, the poll is not actually biased towards the human species in the words used.

Humans are confusing! Why couldn't I be a robot or an extraterrestrial?

part of the fun is finding the people you click with. Those people who you can talk to in the most nonsensical way and they still understand you.

Still haven't found those people. Maybe I'll find them at University? Probably going to be the professors.

I've only ever had one close female friend, so I'd have to say homosocial, though I feel as I get older I get on with women as well as men really, it's more circumstance that has led to me having mainly male friends.
