Geography at Leeds

I know that Leeds has a good reputation for geography so i was wondering if anyone on here studies/is going to be studying it there - i'd like to find out what it's like from a students' point of view.

i might be

i'm doing geogy at leeds and i really like it. wasn't too keen on all the physical geogy in first year (cos im doing human) but i somehow managed to get through it! we've done a good mix of lotsa different thigns throughout the year, some which i'd done at school and others which were new which has been good. i've got friends doing geog at bristol and durham and they seemed to have really enjoyed their first years as well, done some similar stuff and some completly different things as well. hmm well thats about it...i like it but can't really compare it to anywhere cos i've not been anywhere else!

I'm a bit confused by Leeds, i wanna apply and stuff and hopefully i'll go the next open day, but on UCAS the course i wanna do is L700 (BA Geog) and Leeds has a different code or whatever you call it, its not L700 (i've forgot what it is...) so, is that still a BA Geog? Cus everywhere else (e.g manchester, sheffield, nottingham) have L700 for BA Geog. :confused:

I happen to be on UCAS Online atm and selecting Leeds and then Geography L700 is for the BA 3FT Hons i.e. there doesn't seem to be a problem. :confused:

Have I missed something? I'm not planning to do Geography btw - I just decided to have a bash at this because I'm bored.

Yeah BA/Geog at Leeds is L700, you're looking at BA/GeogSc which is F800.

Don't worry about it. I sometimes think that certain unis slip in deliberate things to confuse me!

On my computerised UCAS (applying for law), all the courses appear as 'Law' except LSE, which for some peculiar reason is 'Law (Bachelor of Laws)'. And yet it still has the common course code (L100) - confusing, eh? :confused:

I was really considering doing Geog at uni, but decided not to. However I love the subject, and I remember my Geography teacher telling me that Leeds along with Durham were one of the best for Geography
