practise holding it in for longer each time - learn to hold it in ....i'm sorry, that's the best i can help lol

Do you drink alot?
If its really bothering you go and see a doctor.

How on earth could we know why you go to the toilet as often as you do, or even if the amount you go is abnormal or just the right amount? Asking that question here will just get scary answers like 'you've got diabetes/cancer/gangrene/african sleeping sickness', that or 'drink less'. Just go to your GP and he/she'll be able to find out if theres anything wrong and what you can do about it.

If you've just started drinking more then you're body will take time to adjust and eventually cope with a larger intake of liquid. Or maybe your pelvic floor muscles arn't strong enough. Try clenching and unclenching them to strengthen your pelvic floor muscles and you should be able to control you're bladder more effectively and 'hold it in' for longer  Good luck with everything xxx

Holding it is not healthy.

Reply 6

Yes ok, it was a very wide question that you probably wouldnt know the answer of but it was worth trying. And no i dont drink alot at all

Weak bladder?

Reply 8

Depends, if it's urinating you could be diabetic.

God knows, speak to your doctor, or god.

If it's just that you find that you need the toilet a bit more often than other people (assuming you mean to wee rather than to poo) and this has always been the case, it's unlikely you're diabetic. It could just be you have a smaller bladder or a weaker one, or that your pelvic floor muscles aren't very strong. While holding urine in for too long is not a good idea, you can do pelvic floor exercises which will help you and not going the instant you need the toilet will also over time strengthen your bladder a bit (I find). Obviously don't push this too far though.

Are we talking about number 1s or 2s?

Either way, you may like to see your doc. You could have diabeties or another medical problem.

Reply 15

It might be a psychological thing, you think you need to go but you don't really. The more you think about it, the more you get the feeling that you need to go.

When you feel the need but know you've just been, think about something else to take your mind off it.

Unless the OP is massively obese and developing Type II diabetes stupidly early (unlikely) it's REALLY not likely to by Type I diabetes if it's been going on for a long time and isn't getting worse.

Reply 17

Hehe, i did say there'd be scary answers telling the OP she's got diabetes... She should just go to her GP and get checked.

Reply 18

& if the massive obesity was moon-faced & buffalo-humped it could be Type II secondary to Cushing's...

 for obscure internet diagonsis! :p:

But yeah, if you're worried go to your GP & they can try & more accurately guage whether the frequency is that out of the ordinary, ask various associated symptom questions (pain, weight gain, thirst etc etc) & easily test your urine or a pin prick of blood then & there for diabetes or examine you & refer you for other possible causes.

I find that it is best to spread your fluid intake really evenly over the course of the day rather than drink say a whole bottle of water at a time etc. Don't worry about it though- everyone is different and most people don't drink enough water so won't be going to the toilet as much as they should do.
