That's true, I mean if you can be bothered to cook every night then go for it! I must admit the food can get quite repetetive, but as long as I get nutrition i'm good. Then on the weekends I can put in the effort to actually bother making something!

Either way just look at the two arguaments, and what you think is good for you!

Holly that menu sounded sooo unhealthy!

I went self-catered in my first year at canterbury and really didn't get on with the people in my house, which meant I was always cooking and eating by myself. not fun.

I opted for catered in my second year (first at st andies) and much prefered it because even though I didn't get much choice about when and what to eat, I was able to make lots of friends from different areas of the hall and eat with whoever I wanted. Much more social.

I'm enjoying being back to self-catered in my flat now... but it does mean that I'm also back to doing washing up. =(

True...but with the homemade stuff, I obviously didn't have all of the additives, preservatives, excess salt and so on that make the pre-packed stuff even more unhealthy :p:
Nothing wrong with chicken or fish, though :smile:
