Need help in a small Engineering-related project!
Hey everyone! I need help in an Engineering project that I'm doing with a couple of my classmates. We want to implement a project similar to this:

but don't know where to get started and not sure what values of diodes, capacitors etc.. we shall use and how we shall know them. We are still first year students, so we haven't got any experience yet in such projects, also we've got limited time and don't know what to do..
If this project is really hard to implement, what alternatives can you propose?
