LSE Geography with Economics

Im applying for georgaphy with economics at the LSE. my ps mainly covers geograhy with little reference to economics. grades wise i have aaab at a/s predicted 3 A's at A level and doing a further maths a/s. gcse is where i feel a little let down 2a* 2a 6b's. should i be optimistic?

LSE are quite picky in applicants demonstrating a particular interest in their chosen course, be it pure or combined; if your personal statement is far more geared towards geography, say on a 70-30 basis, then it may be a problem.

For what course and at what other universities are you considering? Why not pure Geography at LSE?

well yeah im considering pure geography. i would like to go into academia in the area of economic development and i thought having an economics background be it a minor would help me. not that geography is not sufficient particulalry from LSE. i was also considering UCL, STAndrews, Bristol, Sheffield and nottingham. yeah i will delete the economics bit and add more geographical stuff.
