I want to do aqa gcse: Psychology, Law and Sociology via home study with these books (theyre the aqa endorsed books) are they good enough some people have left negative reviews etc... should I get them (im aiming to get A*s)

and has the specification changed since these books were published and intended for that specification.

They will provide a good basis. However I ALWAYS recommend asking your teacher what books may be of better benefit, as they will have studied to degree level and can recommend books that aren't too complex but are appropriate too!

I also suggest reading around topics further by looking up the areas online (and simply just reading) after each lesson or during revision, just to push your knowledge a little bit further. For sociology I recommend Giddons or Fulcher/Scott for some basic degree level (will be great for A-Level) reading.

As the books are endorsed by the exam board, it will contain the information needed for the exams.So it would be useful for your subject, even if the spec has changed.

does anyone agree with her I want to get A*s... just trying to verify from multiple sources...
