How long to independently learn D1?

Hi,

Looking for a rough estimate as to how long it takes to learn Edexcel's Decision 1 mathematics independently, hours/days/weeks etc.
Given that I've previously self taught S3 and S4 in a reasonable amount of time without too much trouble, any ideas?

Thanks.
Probably half as long as it took you to do S3 or S4.

Not long if you managed to cope just fine with A2 units. The trick with D1 is not losing the will to live.
D1 is seriously boring, but there isn't a lot of it. You could probably do it in a few days if you put your mind to it.
Edit; I just saw you're doing edexcel, I did AQA but I don't suppose it's much different.

Thanks for the responses.
The "losing the will to live" is the part I'm worried about.
I've only done S3+S4 because I actually enjoyed doing it.
Sounds like couple weeks of work (given time alongside school).
40 hours totalled? I don't see it as an especially long or difficult model. If you have to learn simplex method, then add another 5 hours. you'll be bored as hell, and if you see how to do it all quickly then you could probably cut off maybe 10 hours. don't forget to grind out past papers and mark yourself harshly
