Well there is some special shampoo you can get for thinning hair but other than that i don't know.

take vitamin tablets..you may be lacking in iron

Do you have a balanced diet?
Try speaking to your hairdresser or doctor, they've probably got a better idea about whats going on. x

Castration. But I'm guessing you don't want to go down that route. Actually, I know some people who are going bald around your age myself - it's genetic, generally. And castration is the only known preventative measure.

The day I start to go bald (and it will happen, my 2 grandads and my dad have no hair) I'm gonna shave it all off for good

I think it would be a mighty weird individual who would rather keep their hair!

I hope you realise that shaving hair doesn't mean it comes off 'for good'. You'll just get stubble on the top of your head. Good luck with that.

Has to have been done though. :p:

volumizing hair spray works well on the cosmetic side, but not a cure....

Awwww :frown: But don't worry. It could be something in your diet that's causing your hair loss. If you have an iron deficiency, that can cause your hair to fall out. You could go to the doctor to get tested, they will give you some iron tablets, and your hair will grow back.

Alternatively, you may just have premature hair loss. Nothing to be worried about, nothing to be embarrassed about. Many people of your age are losing some of their hair - Prince William's only slightly older than you and he's got a definite bald patch. If you're really self-conscious about it, just shave your head or cut it really short, and practically no-one will notice.

There are some shampoos you can get which help hair to grow back, but I really wouldn't bother about it. To me, a guy is most attractive when he's not worried about what he looks like or any little physical imperfections, and when he's happy with himself and the way he looks.

:hugs:

Don't get me started on hair!!! My hair is naturally curly!!! and personally curly hair repulses me!!! For starters it has major almighty frizz, makes me look geeky and old and basically looks like i have a sheep dog on my head which results in me looking like a total Psycho!!!

I own straightners and i practically use them every day in order just to look normal, this is a very time consuming act as i have long hair (i hate short hair also) , inevitably as you can imagine all this straightening has ruined my hair! so i can not WIN!!, plus i am always worring that i have left the blasted things on when i am out.

I could rant on for hours and hours about the negatives of my hair but i won't bore you any longer or torture myself any more. It just aggrovates me so!

I'm female and I’ve experienced hair thinning for a long time however gradually it's now getting better. You should use Hair thickening shampoos at the moment am using Pantene full and thick and it’s made a slight difference to the volume of my hair. As said by others there could be vitamins and nutrients that maybe lacking in your body such as iron that is resulting in hair loss.

Male baldness can be passed on from generation to generation that's similar in my case since my parent's don’t have very thick hair so I’ve come to realize finally that hair loss is natural and in some cases cannot be prevented because it's something that we all have accept and experience at some point in life.

The majority of hair loss cases don’t start until you’re between the ages of 20-30 but it can happen before that as well. If you’re really concerned about it then in that case I’d suggest you go and visit your doctor ASAP and request a blood test or ask the doctor to be requested to see a dermatologist seeing as you should fix the problem before it's too late since hair loss can cause low self esteem and the later you leave it the further the problem will deteriorate.

There are some medications available but most of them do not claim to work and do not provide permanent solution to hair loss. Regaine (minoxidll) and propecia are the only two medicines which have been proven to work and have been approved by the FDA.

lol, my hair is thick - or at least was. But I have been noticing that its starting to thin in places and the infamous 'm' shape is starting to form- I'm too young! I suppose it must be in the genes because all of my male relatives have had hair loss.
