The whole thing has just gotten mundane and pointless to me, all the effort in the gym, shovelling food and weight gainers down to meet calorie requirements, spending hundreds of quid extra a year, all for minimal piss poor natty gains. The benefits just don't seem there anymore once you've been training for 4+ years. Not to mention joint issues that keep cropping up every time I try and go heavy. And it's a very boring and dull activity in general

Wut next? Start boxing/muay thai? Get back into sports? Become a cardio bunny? The future is uncertain

Start a sport

I find lifting relaxing and I go on my own. Mundane? Well I guess everyone is different. Weight gainers, counting calories? Never. If it's a means to an end (to look "hench") then of course it will get boring like anything else. Looking decent is a biproduct almost

Start boxing it's fun, really good cardio for toning your body.

A toned body is better that too much muscle.

And alot of people find weight lifting soo boring! BOXING is great you learn new skills and how to protect your self.

You do realise "toned" = muscle, right?

Yes but I'm suffering to a lean cut rather weight lifting look. It's just a generalisation, like when people say "he has no muscle", we know what they mean but ofc that is impossible for one to not have any muscle.

What do you lift at what bodyweight?

Thought about competing?

I've been training for nearly four years and am still making some decent gains.

What programme are you doing?

No, toned = lean

A fat person can still have loads of muscle, they just have a lot of fat covering over it.

Good example is Tom Hardy in Batman as Bane is huge, but in Warrior he lean as ****. There's a difference.

If you're that bad at lifting weights you'll probably not be good at sports either, no offense.
