pregnancy testing

I am so so so utterly ashamed. I got very drunk, and I can remember doing "things" with a guy in the loo. I have no idea who he is. I can't remember how far things went, and whether contraception was used.

please do not think for a minute I am proud of myself. Stupidly the morning after pill didn't occur to me. This was on tuesday night, my period is due in about a week. I can't spend a week of not knowing whether or not I am pregnant.

When is the earliest I can take a test?

I ****ing hate myself for getting to that state. It would have been my first time of things did happen.

please, help?

and please guys, I hate myself as it is. I don't need you lot judging me.

You can try it now, it's likely it will say negative though. To be sure, take one about a week after your period should have been due, if it doesn't come. I wouldn't judge you anyway, everyone screws up sometimes,Try taking a pregnancy test in Maccy D loos  and we all learn alcohol causes more problems than solves them. Hope everything works out for you

First response is very good and can even be used before you've missed your period

PM me if you need a stranger's shoulder to cry on.

I'd go see your doctor. s/he can reassure you/organise a test/make sure you get checked out for STIs. If you don't want to see a family doctor go to your family planning clinic and they'll do the same. They're professionals who will be able to help, at the end of the day everyone here is just a well meaning kid on a forum.

Just to let you know that sometimes even if you are pregnant you will get your period anyway. So even if you do I'd check anyway. And I think most tests need a month though I'm not sure.

Take a test in about a month's time and in future learn from it and don't get so wasted.

You can use a clearblue test from four days before your period is due, although it says it is more reliable if you leave it till after. Good luck hun hope everything is alright xxx

In the small print on the screen, it says it's only accurate in 51% of cases. So I wouldn't bother.

Take the first response test if you really can't relax about it, or wait until your period does/doesn't come to take a pregnancy test but go to your doctor to get tested for STI's no matter what. Good luck, and we're not here to judge you, just to help. :-)

You need to wait until after you expected your period to be.
