Razor, any kind of Mach 3 will do the trick, its not like you're chopping down a forest of a beard. And same with shaving foam (though gel is probably better), Gilette do some of those too and they're good.

As for the actual shaving, its normally best after a shower/bath, cause the heat opens up your pores and makes it easier to cut the hairs off. Stick some gel in your hand and rub them together till it lathers. Slap on face, then shave by dragging it down your face, with the hairs, if you shave against the grain it can hurt and irritate your skin. Once you've shaved all of your face, you dry it, then either splash cold water to close the pores, aftershave to make you scream or some after shave moisturiser for that baby's arse touch. Job done.

if there isnt much hair then you might as well use and electric one. its piss easy and you wont cut yourself. they dont shave as close as a razer tho.

And you'll just end up not knowing how to shave properly when you actually need to. :smile:

Weeeeeeeeeell.....

Any razor with 4 or more blades is ideal; I've found that one's with 3 or less irritate my skin (although that could just be me). I'd recommend the Quattro that you may or may not have seen on TV; it's the one I've been using for ages now and it's done me just fine.

Shaving foam really depends on your skin type; there's a whole plethora of them out there, and you should either get advice from someone in a shop (boots, etc.) or just try different ones; see which one leaves you feeling the most comfortable. I'd recommend any kind of gel - they last longer than the ones that are just plain foam, and there much more fun ;grin;

TECHNIQUE!!
1. Get the water as hot as you can handle.
2. Wet your face with the water, not too wet though, kind of just after shower wet!
3. Put foam/gel onto fingertips and than work onto your face in circular motions. Get all of your face lathered up, including the bits at the back of your jawbone, and under your chin.
4. Commence shaving! Don't press down too hard - that's the fast track to hundreds of tiny cuts :biggrin: - just stroke it across your face, along the direction that your hairs naturally point (the 'grain') without pressing down. Rinse the blade after each stroke, and make sure that all the hairs are washed out of it before doing another one.
5. Get rid of all lather in this manner! And you're done!

Hope that helps ;grin;

Either use a cheapo electric one before you wash (otherwise it'll bite you) or use a mach3 razor. As long as you don't brush it sideways (you look silly with 3 parrelel cuts) and you're not too gung-ho, its simple as hell. Half the time I don't even bother with shaving foam / gel.

I use an electric shaver and then artistically 'fine-tune' with a razor.

If you want a close shave get a Mach 3 and some decent shaving gel. Don't bother with electric razors, they are rubbish at getting hair under your chin.

i find disposeiable razor dont irritate my skin and find them easier as you get a sharp blade every time. but if theres nothing realy there you might be best with an electric

lmao, you gotta love TSR, people will debate about anything on here. It's shaving and there's probably going to be some sort of major disagreement which will result in the post being closed. haha

It's only a matter of time so he may as well get used to using a better razor from the beginning.

:ditto:

Electric shavers are great if you're pressed for time; but you should start using a razor as soon as possible. Personally, I own both; and if I have NO TIME to shave in the mornings - which is rare - I'll use the electric one, but otherwise I'll use my manual.

Some people find that it irritates the skin. Personally I prefer shaving against the grain as it gives a closer cut.

I hardly see how you can have bum fluff above your lip unless your face is similar to that of a backside...
