I had the same thing while on it-i had period for ten days, but now I am on Cilest, and its much better. Go to your GP, maybe something else will help.

It's been taken off the prescription list in England now, because there were too many cases of dangerous side effects such an increase in depression.

I was on it for a year and half, but came off because I started getting debilitating migraines, which I know now came from taking Dianette(as I haven't had one since....) It is also not meant to be used solely as a contraceptive, I was taking it for acne purposes.

I've just switched from yasmin to dianette. I've only been on it six days so far, so it's probably too early to tell, but I'm getting on fine with it atm. Havent had any side-effects that I can think of. I started taking it after a seven day break from yasmin, so that's probably why it hasn't messed up my period.

I was fine on it (took it for skin and as contraceptive), but switched off it after about 9 months because I was getting overly emotional when I wasn't taking it. I'm now on Marvelon, which is also good for acne.

My sisters on Dianette, she was put on it for irregular periods and acne. She's fine now and her boobs have grew, thats the only side effect she had.

Just because there are reports of widely spread side effects, doesnt mean you are personally going to suffer from them. Not everyone who is on the pill puts on weight. I took it in my teens for my skin and didnt have any probs, although I only took it for about a year and a half I think.

I was on microgynon for about 2 years and then changed to dianette about a year ago. Main reason for swapping was that microgynon wasn't suiting me and I wanted something for acne as well so dianette seemed to obvious choice. I have been fine on it, weight has stayed the same and no other problems that I know off. They don't seem to be that keen on people staying on dianette for long though, I have been on it about a year now and the doctor keeps trying to get me to come off it, apparently its not a good pill to take long term - don't know why though.
