Depends on him, we dont exactly know the person it could range through: embarassment / think your taking the piss / think its corny / think its a chat up line!

Reply 2

how about u write him a letter instead this way he or you wont be as embarrased

Reply 3

how would he think its a chat up line?

Reply 4

Sounds a bit soppy to be honest. 'You've inspired me to become an english teacher' would do the same job without being too cheesy/embarassing. Oh, are you the girl that posted loads of anonymous threads about saying something like this to a teacher?

Reply 5

To be honest I reckon he might be embarassed. Is there a particular reason you want to say this to him? People are inspired by their teachers every day but dont necessarily go out of their way to tell them, if you know what I mean. Im just thinking it might make your teacher/student relationship a bit awkward and he might take it the wrong way.

or u could just be honest and tell him u love him and want his babies

Reply 7

Then he'll try and cop a feel, get arrested, go to jail and end up having sex with someone with a lot more body hair and a lot more penis than you.

Reply 8

teachers inspires people all the time so maybe he has heard it before. but not many teachers talk to the students after class so he might think that you are flirting or something. but if you want to say it, i suggest you do it at the end of the course, thanking him for an interesting course....etc.

Reply 9

now you are going too far. i just wanted to let him know how much i appreciate him and i in no way want to have sex with him or want his babies for christs sakes.

Reply 10

he doesnt teach me, he used to teach me.

Reply 11

u don't have to tell him u love him straight away; i think it is a good idea to first let him know how much u admire and revere him.

well you could write him a letter, telling him you are an old student and so on. an old english teacher got a letter like this once and he read it out loud (parts of it anyway)to the class. basically she said what she did now and how much his english class had helped her. just make it sound proffesional so there won't be any misunderstandings.

Why not ask him out for a drink? Take things slowly, dropping wedding brochures on his desk may scare him off.

if he used to you teach you then thats a bit different, its not like youre going to have to see him everyday. I would write him a letter saying how you enjoyed the subject etc and say about your future plans. Just keep it formal though.
