all my friends have now gone to University and I kinda have no idea how to go about meeting new people who can be my friends... well boy-friends specifically... if you get what I mean? (i'm a girl...)
how can I meet someone if I don't have anyone to meet them through or to go out with in the evenings at all.
I'm getting quite lonely :frown:

Arnt there those sports things where the lads from the male sports team hook up with the girls from the girls sports team and go out on a date? Then you can swap every few weeks? Fekin awesome.

To the OP, as was said before, joining clubs and societies at uni is a good idea. As is getting a job unless you already have one. The gym is a great place to meet people too, especially guys.....lol. Try joining your uni gym - keep fit and meet people too! Buy one get one free :biggrin:

Seriously, there are some cuuuute guys who frequent the gym and people there seem to be more social. You might meet some nice girls too and have nice girly chats whilst on the treadmill. Then you could ask them for the good night spots or ones they would suggest. Get talking to people. It's the best way to make friends....that is unless they aren't surgically attached to some iPod or something :rolleyes:

The gym isn't for everyone but you never know unless you try....

some of the dudes i go the gym with love their own bodies more than womens. If they have dedicated enough time to do the pec dance and do it for you, steer clear. I'm from liverpool, and my dad is Irish to whoever asked.

Haha.... it is a bit worrying about the type of guys who go to the gym....I'd look for the ones furthest from the mirrors and crowds of hotpant wearing girls :rolleyes:

I rememember going to high school with some dude who obsessed over his body, now every time i occasionally see him the street his second question (the first being 'hows it going') is 'how much can you bench press?'
