Can't find your lecture theatre? Read me!

Right then, seeing as I have had an innundation of people today asking me where places are, here is a quick run-down of the main lecture theatres in Aber and how to get to them. If I miss any out give me a shout and I will add them on here.

A6 Llandinam Bottom of the geography tower (the tower opposite Penbryn), to get there from the halls on campus, enter the Llandiman building at the top entrance (the entrance closest to the bus stop) which takes you into the geology tower. Bear left, through the door agead and to the left of you, take a sharp right (right by the door), continue through the Llandinam concourse, end go through the door at the far end (by the geography office), which has A6 and an arrow on it. Go down the Llandinam tower stairs, turn left, and the entrance to A6 is in front of you. For Llandinam B20 and the B23 computer room, turn left at the geography office and they are on the corridor in front of you. There is also lecture theatre on G floor of the goeg tower (G4 I think), just go up the stairs to G floor and it you wil see it.

If coming from town, enter Llandinam at the base of the tower (opposite Cledwyn), make a right, and the entrance to A6 is in front of you.

Physics A/B/Main Enter Physical Sciences at the main entrance turn left, and follow the corridor down a few steps, Physics A and B are in front of you, and Physics Main is just a little further along. There are also a couple of doors near to Physics Main which bring you out at the Llandiman end of the building

Biology Main Enter the Biology building at the main entrance, keep straight, go down either set of stairs, make a U-turn, and Biology Main is just past the cabinet things. There is also a lecture theatre straight ahead of you as you come down the stairs.

A12/A14 Hugh Owen. Use the (left hand, of facing the library, right-hand if facing Penbryn) entrance right next to Penbryn (under the glass bridge thing), and both lecture theatres are in the hallway.

C4/C66 Hugh Owen The very last entrance into the HO building as you are walking along the passageway between Penbryn and the library, brings you into the back of C66. If you want C4, enter the HO buolding at the next entrance down, turn right, follow the corridor along and at the next hallway turn right, and C4 is in front of you.

You're not the only one. I have a tutorial on friday on c floor, llandinam, and I don't know if that is in the tower or in the geology block

*reccomends this to be made a sticky*

Where is the other campus though?

Llanbadarn campus?

Um, you'll need to get the bus towards Morrisons, it's about 5 minutes away (on the bus), just before you enter Llanbadarn village

As Crisps says, you can get the bus, and it's not too bad walking/cycling, just exit campus from the top way (Cwrt Mawr), and turn right along the main road (not the one that goes between the school and the back of campus, that takes you to Cardiac Hill) and keep going to the end, Llanbadarn campus is on the left just down the road to the right.

They used to do free buses between campuses/town, but that stopped last year I thin when they introduced the travel cards.

If you have a lecture here, unlucky
I'm sure this lecture theatre has the worst seats ever and it's like a dungeon inside.. I couldn't believe they gave us a geog lecture here on the open day really! You'd have thought they'd want to show off one of the nice ones...
Reply 14
A6 is horrible, the seats make my bum numb! [yes I know you really wanted to know that!] IMO the nicest lecture theatre is A12 Hugh Owen, the seats in there are lovely.

There's a smallish lecture theatre in Physics, near the main one that's really warm and always makes you feel sleepy.. Although I that could have been something to do with us having engaging human geog in there on a Friday afternoon

Physics main is as bad for being warm and sleep inducing. we had the atmosphere and water cycle in there anddddddd...the biological part of soils and ecosystems or whatever it's called...soooooooooo comfy though

Oh and dan fell asleep in the big lecture theatre in Hugh Owen...and snored...until i jabbed him in the rib  that one's warm and comfy too

Oh God Atmosphere and Water Cycle... *shudder* I remember seeing someone on the front row flat out asleep, and a certain lecturer teaching [I'll be forever scarred by those animal impressions he did!] didn't seem to care!
