Liking a guy who's first language isn't English (not that this should matter?)

OK Long story short. Friend's friend is german and stayed for the weekend at my friends house. I went round on Saturday and he (the german guy) played a song that I knew how to play on the piano. Then he stopped when I came in and looked kinda embarrased then I said no carry on, but he got up and I went over and finished off the last part of the song. He said "that was really great" but he might have just been polite. He was watching me a bit longer than was normal so I went red a bit. Anyway I felt as if we were really attracted to each other, but I didn't know what to do at the time  useless me. He's moving to england here for uni (next yr) and I don't know what to do. Will my friend find it awkward having 2 of his friends in a relationship? afaik german guy doesn't have a GF. Should I make a move? Should I tell my friend about it? His English isn't perfect and he does find it hard to express what he wants to say sometimes, so do you think that will be a problem? Thanks!

i dont see what the problem is.
its not like he doesnt know any english at all.
i think you should tell your mate how you feel about and see what she says.

my bf is polish lol, we seem to communicate fine...
Well then like the title says, it shouldn't matter. I think deep down you prolly think that anyway.

My boyfriend is French. English isn't his first language and we've been together nearly 2 years

Bear in mind that if he's coming here to go to uni next year, he will have had to take some sort of post-A Level standard English test in order to be admitted, so I wouldn't worry about communication

My fiance is Peruvian- his english is ok, and i speak some spanish, so we get on just fine. He speaks to me in spanish and i reply in english. Perfect
Mmm sexy tanned European guys

K I'll stop daydreaming now. Sorry, couldn't help myself (I'm in a very boring town in Australia :frown: ).

I went on a date with a Swiss guy who could speak OK english, but on words he didn't know, or couldn't understand me, I wrote them on my phone text and showed the word to him. pity he was boring as all hell cos he was quite cute!

Ok, I'll contribute something relatively useful now.

I was once seeing a spanish dude, who spoke very broken English, and I spoke no Spanish. It was endearing/hot at times, and infuriating at others.

You can't really expect to have any sort of real deep connection if you can't communicate as such. IMO.

Ditto to that Spanish guy if he's hot, I'm fluent in Spanish and wouldn't mind practising lol.

Hmm... yeah I usually go for guys the same age or a little older :p:

But when I was 19 I was seeing a 28-year-old so I'm not gonna say no if he's smokin!
