I asked about the foundation year Huddersfield uni offer and was told that if I dont make it onto the Mpharm course I'll be considered for the foundation year in August and shouldn't bother applying.
BUT should I apply just to make sure I have a place on the foundation year in case I get rejected for the 4 year pharmacy course??

Don't apply for the foundation year if they said they will automatically put you into it if you dont get in the pharmacy course, because its going to be a waste of choice and will make no difference, In fact I think they might look down on you if you apply to both even though they told you they would consider you anyway for the foundation year if you didn't get in.
Also dont worry if you dont get in through ucas. If your set on Huddersfield, they usually always be in clearing and I have had 2 friends getting with 3C's and 1C and 2D's this year.

They've said they could do a course change. Its not definite though. I dont want to not apply and then not get onto either course because I didn't apply for the foundation year and there's no longer any places On it
To make yourself feel comfortable apply for it. but personally i wouldnt. What are your predicted grades if u dont mind. Dmu and Ports accept C's in Chem. keep your options open

I dont want to move too far from Leeds and apart from Bradford and Huddersfield there's Manchester uni but they dont accept resit students who didn't achieved BBC the first time round.
So I've applied to two biomed courses as well (hoping to transfer after first year) but I'd really want to do this foundation year and achieve overall 70% to transfer to first year of pharmacy than do biomed and transfer because its a lot harder.

I applied to Huddersfield for Pharmacy, then on results day I didn't get the grades so I rang up and they offered me a place on the foundation year, I didn't even know it existed. I think if there's somewhere else you'd realistically consider going then you shouldn't waste a choice on the foundation year.

I applied for a pharmacy course, but I got DDM and the entry requirement is DDD so I wonder if I can do a foundation year and then do the pharmacy course ?
