I hope that it's okay if there are mistakes, because even after messing up and redoing about a hundred CAFs, I still wrote a letter wrong on my "Units Taken" sheet so just crossed that out. And I've already sent it off. :/

Seriously, yes it will be fine.
I doubt even Cambridge would reject someone just for making (and correcting) one tiny mistake on their CAF- they're not that petty!

^ Thats what I thought but my head of 6th form told me to get 4 or 5 copies of the form in case I went wrong - so I was thinking either the slightest mistake ruins it or he must think I'm prone to making mistakes...
I had to print out 6 copies of the Oxford form, my nerves and amount of effort i put into making every letter as straight as possible meant i often made mistakes or had to resize some of it to fit into the boxes. I don't like filling out forms with crosses and mistakes on.

Do you put music exam grades on the qualifications part of the form?
Is the CAF complicated? The OAF is really simple! The one place i kinda messed up was where i changed college from st annes to Queens. To do this i tippexed (sp?) over STA to put QNS, but you can still see STA underneath the page

I didn't write my music grades on the CAF because I wasn't sure whether that would be relevant to the subject I'm applying for. But it does say "then any non-academic qualifications", so...

The CAF is long, because you've got to write down all the A-Level units you've done, date, UMS for each individual unit and overall UMS. Then you've got to write all the units that you are doing. Then there's a page where you write all your completed qualifications and those yet to be completed. And the normal name/UCAS stuff/schools attended page. And then there's the extra personal statement but that's on the OAF too.

Completing the CAF is proper long. It feels like an entrance exam in itself!

Hey,

I made a teeny weeny mistake on the individual units page and just wrote over it. Figured that they probably wouldn't be that picky... Really wouldn't worry too much if I were you.

Are you supposed to put music exams on the form?? already sent it off so it's a bit late now but never mind.

I think they should let you in just for completing the CAF, to be honest. It's a nightmare, i never write in block capitals and to write that much in them was awful. And then, after filling in the module form, on the last module i noticed i'd put in 'CITEZENSHIP', like a muppet. I could have cried, did the whole bloody thing again...

And which knobjockey decided to create modules with titles like 'SSC1 The Citizen, The State and The Community'? Squeezing that into the boxes was an impossible task.

I used my first print, although i did end up trying to tidy up my writing, which made some slight smudge looking marks, although i knew i'd be redoing them forever so just sent the first one.

On the OAF it says "Course name" (long space) "UCAS course code" (short space).

In the instructions it says "write your course name and code in the box" (or similar). So I wrote the code, then wrote the name, then said - whoops! The code goes in a seperate box! *quick crossing out*

My head of year just said "you can't send it in like that" and made me redo it. I can't imagine what the admissions tutors would think about it anyway.

i made a few stupid mistakes and corrections on my OAF- no one told me you could print it out!!

When I went back to the careers coordinator person for a new form she acted as if I'd asked to have one of her kidneys or something- "i only have a few forms you know, and lots of peole want to apply for oxford. You'll just have to use that one." No one mentioned any kind of form which could be PRINTED out, how simple taht would have made life.

Also why don't the oxford ppl want pictures of our beautiful selves??
I made a mistake and printed out a new one - but I'm a total perfectionistv:p:

I made a mistake on the oxford form, i put POST instead of PRE qualification (i'm takning a gap year), didn't notice until someone from careers emailed me about it. simply crossed it out and wrote PRE in the space next to it, surely something small like that can't make any difference to an application?!
The slightest mistake will mean that you are automatically barred from gaining a place at Oxbridge and condemned to the outer darkness of Another University.
I know everyone is getting anxious but get a grip. Use your commonsense, no doubt you all have maximum UMS marks for that too.

Another OAF question. In the box that says PPH/Harris Manchester second choice, can you put another college down??

My teachers told us we should, but it seems pretty obvious that its worded to mean only if you want to go to a PPH or harris manchester. Well, my form is gone, now, with a 2nd choice college so o well! Just wondered if I got this right or wrong.
^^No no! If your first choice is a college i'm pretty sure you leave the other box blank. It applies only if you put a PPH or harris manchester in the first box.

Edit: Sorry if i'm wrong but if i read your sig correctly didnt it say st hildas  Good to see you came to your senses in the end!
