applying to similar (but different) courses Personal Statement help?

Ok so basically I have applied to two universities that do History and Film and two universities that just do History. Should I aim my PS towards History as a whole, or aim it towards History with a light focus on Media/Film, or completely focus on History and Film as a whole?

On a side note, I'm a year 14 student. Am I supposed to include this in my Personal Statement?

I would say mainly towards history, with a light focus on media/film, perhaps referencing an interest in historical film

Obviously, its much better if you can to be applying for the same course.
It depends what universities you apply to- some want you to reflect on why you resitted in your p/s, maybe only a few lines.
I'd focus more on history, but definitely put something about media and film in there.
