Stiff drink, eh?

Just bear in mind what I said.

Oh and by the way, I do realise that one or two of those comments were tongue-in-cheek - don't have me pegged as stupid.

Just realise that a university is an institution first - the degree should always come first if you want to make something of yourself.

If not, then that's cool too - as long as you don't turn around and say "****, if only I'd done that" in future years.

It's your lives at the end of the day - don't let me tell you what to do.

University is only an "institution" until you go there. After that the place means a lot more to you than that. People want to be proud of the place they are at. I love seeing on the news "medical/scientific break through at the University of Aberdeen."

As for parties and stuff, do people really choose university based on this? If so, let me assure you, you will have just as good a time in any uni. Want more parties? Have them!

The parties don't get much better that at Aberdeen anyway. With over 1,000 students all staying on one site, with our own private cheap bar, you really can't expect anything else!

Yeah, about choosing unis based entirely on that - I totally agree with you, you'll have as many parties as you want to have.

I didn't literally mean just an institution, what I meant is that's a place of learning and yeah sure, of course you should choose the one where you feel most comfortable and I've chosen the one which has a top-notch business school and great links with employment within Aberdeen.

I realise looking at a couple of my posts that I look like a right wet blanket - but you must understand that I'm not a big drinker and certainly not a party-animal by any stretch of the imagination.

There is a very good reason for this though, if you see some of the other threads that I've posted on.

Apologies to the guys who posted on this board - didn't mean to take it so literally, it's what I do.
One of the things that attracted me to RGU rather than Strathclyde where they also do the pharmacy degree was the fact that RGU has an extremely high graduate employment rate. I'd rather study for a profession rather than get a degree and not know what to do with it after.

lol a dream come true eh? dishing out asprin to poor students and methadone to junkies? i'm sure it'll be a blast  . Maybe next time you should get a career plan that fits in with Aberdeen better so you can see me more lol :p:

Well if Im getting paid around £30,000 after a couple years of being qualified for doing what you describe then it's all good

What are you studying?

Once, by accident and it wasn't on any of the meaningful degrees that were posted above.

Yup, but funnily enough, no one was surprised when they done it.

Only because people judge them quite unfairly as a joke of an institution. According to the league tables it is one of the best performing New Universities in Scotland and employers recognise this as it often appears ahead of some of the older universities (including Aberdeen) in Graduate Employment figures.

That error was down to the admin staff within the Academic Affairs Department (who are not the brightest of people in any institution: School, College or University)
Aberdeen students are just jealous that they dont get given the answers lol.

When they did it. - Obviously Aberdeen doesn't teach grammar as wonderfully as it supposedly is!

My sig reveals all. If that's too strenuous for you then it's zoology, which Aberdeen happens to have one of the best reputations in the uk for

Well good luck to you, lets hope you get employment and aren't overlooked cause you got the answers given to you in the exam

I wish RGU gave the answers out for the exam and then let you sit the exam. That way I might have actually done better in my exams and not come out with 5, 5, 4, 4, 4, 4, 4, 3 over the two semesters.

I have absolutely no idea what any of those numbers mean :s-smilie:

I notice you don't include the Management half of your degree as being a meaningful subject

Why would they teach me grammar in a computing science course?

I don't know! I thought Aberdeen might pick up on things like that while you're doing your Computing Science - Science would imply that you should have a slight grasp of simple language constructs

I do. Changing the word done to did does not make you a grammatical genuis. It makes you an annoying, picky B*.

Doesn't science contain more number than langauge though? If he was doing an MA then maybe you'd have more of a point.
And i second Nessys description of Josh there
