Should illegal immigrants be shot?
Illegal immigrants cost the British taxpayer thousands. They are fed, clothed and housed as they await deportation for their crime.
Should this be punishable by death? Should we have assault teams at Dover, the channel tunnel etc? It would certainly make the country a less attractive option to pilfering foreiners, and it would relieve the taxpayer of the burden of paying for all the immigrants.

erm no. but they shouldnt be given free movement throughout the country and we should look at their aplications far sooner than we do

but, seriously, no they shouldn't be. This would have awful long term problems such as even more terrorism for revenge of the killings in the first time. Illegal immigrants should be detained, ID'd and then deported immediatly - unfortunatly this labour government is just 2 incompetent to do this.
I personally wouldnt want to live in a country where the government went around shooting people on sight but thats just me

Does anyone have any statistics (or at least estimates) of the number of illegal immigrants entering the country each day?
The stuff like the Daily Mail makes it sound like if you go anywhere near the channel tunnel you're in immediate danger of being trampled by all the immigrents flooding into the country. I dont know what to believe

Out of the roughly 430,000 Eastern european immigrants, about 0.02% are on benefits, 0.0002% live in council houses, 0.03% are allowed tax credits, and given the majority age range (18-30) of these immigrants, it is likely that most of them will go back, having paid National Insurance and Income tax (they are taxed more heavily by the by). There are 300,000 Britons in Spain, and about 500,000 people leave the UK every year. We won;t sink at this rate. As for illegal immigrants, many are not allowed to work, and that's why they are on benefits. Blame the EU, you bozos; it's an EU wide policy, not just limited to Britain.
