Bloating

I have an extremely annoying problem with my stomach, in that it bloats enormously after I eat. I avoid certain gas-producing foods such as beans, and eat small meals, but I still bloat. I also tried cutting wheat out of my diet for a while, but that didn't make a difference, and I don't think it's IBS as I don't get constipation, diarrhea and stomach pains. I also take acidophilus (a stronger version of the pro-biotics found in live yogurts) with meals, which is supposed to help. I've told my doctor about it, but he doesn't seem to think it's a problem. However, it is a problem for me, because not only does it feel uncomfortable, but it makes me feel down because my stomach looks so huge (I'm not overweight). The more embarrassing side of the problem is the fact that I produce a lot of gas, which as you can imagine, isn't pleasant.

Any tips would be much appreciated

I've heard peppermint capsules or something like that are good for wind

Just let it all out.

Have you kept a record of what you eat, and how much you bloat? I.E. how one food can make you bloat more than others? x

I use peppermint capsules, but I really need to prevent the bloating. And thank you Zoe for your very mature comment, but that isn't my main problem. Thanks Simulatio, I will keep a record, but so far I ahven't noticed any kind of pattern, whatever I eat seems to produce the same effect :frown:

Are you female? Bloating is very common around periods.
