havin problems in uni accomodation

my kitchen was the same. i mostly lived off slimfast and junk food, oh hang on i still do XD

hi everyone have been in accomodation just over a week now. havin problems wit the ppl in my flat. they leave the kitchen filthy and have weird ppl around all the time making noise till all hours. it is really gettin me down i have hardly eaten because i feel uncomfortable in the kitchen wit the crowd/the kitchen is in such a mess i cant cook nethin. i am also feelin very isolated and depressed. am startin to wonder weva i can cope and have had really bad thoughts like self harming. ihave never felt like this b4 and i dont know wot to do

Ok, firstly, have you tried speaking to the people that you share your flat with? If no, try. If you have and they still carry on then I would suggest speaking to the management of the residence, explaining what has been happening and maybe ask to be moved elsewhere in the hall.

Secondly, this situation is made worse by the fact that you feel isolated and depressed - something that a large number of students experience when they leave home for the first time. Have you made any friends at uni? Doyou socialise at all with others?

Thirdly, the fact that you think about self harming is worrying especially if you have never felt like this before - I can only suggest trying to resolve the issue with your flatmates first as I suspect the whole fact you are depressed and isolated and having these thoughts is made ten times worse by the fact that where you live is becoming unbearable for you.

Talk to the wardens daily. They probably have lots of people who initially want to move for trivial reasons and get over it and end up being happy where they are. Keep on the case, tell them how badly it is affecting you.Let them know you're not going to give up on moving.
