It won't make you lose weight, it'll tighten up the muscles under the flab that's already and still there, but you won't see the results until you do some cardio

you need to do 200 every night. 400 would be better (TWICE AS GOOD.) but start with 200 then add 50 every week, once you can do 1000 every day you will be really slim and toned.
Lose the fat first, you can't tone flab. Run/cycle/swim etc. but sit ups are in no way an effective way to lose all over body fat. I'd say do 200+ sit ups a night and try doing horse shoe sit ups aswell, and reverse curls (look on wikipedia, can't be bothered to explain ) but yeah do the above ^ Good luck x

If you do a proper sit up ( alot of people don't) that would damage your muscle easily. If you want to do sit ups just do them 10-15 at a time.
Sit ups ufortuanlty ain't going to make you look toned. The problem is when you burn fat you burn it from all over the body. So you have to lose the excess body fat to notice anything. If you want a toned body. You have to burn even more fat and get a low body fat %.
