Pending IGCSE Result

I just can't seem to finish off my UCAS form :frown: Anyways now my problem is that I have a C in IGCSE Maths. I've completed my A levels and got the results, but most of the universities also need a B in GCSE maths and English. Now just because of that I am scared I won't meet the entry requirements and could be rejected as i'm looking for an unconditional offer. Therefore I decided to resit maths IGCSE in May/June 07 and i'm going to send off my UCAS form very soon. I don't know what my centre will be as I'm not sure where i'm going to register from.
Is it ok if i just choose the most likely place i'm going to do it from and contact the british council there and get their center number and then add another Maths IGCSE with a pending result onto my UCAS form online?

Also, will the universities recognise it even though I'll be doing it a year after my A levels? The unis are the likes of nottingham, lancaster, loughborough which all need a B in Maths GCSE for their Business/Management course.
Help would be greatly appreciated.

Best bet is probably to contact the unis. Say you're interested in the course and explain your situation. Mention why you're retaking it in your statement (though say it's to prove your ability or something rather than to get offers).

It should be fine, but before putting down pending, please confirm with the British Council. It prevents a lot of guessing being done! Good luck!

Thanks alot for the help guys. I'm going to call the universities in question tommorow and I'm also going to go to the british council and get all the information regarding private candidates/deadlines etc. Hopefully I'll finally be relieved of all these tensions in a week once I finally send the form off.
