Deansgate... Deansgate what?

There aren't like barriers on the roads with bouncers or anything. I presume you mean a specific club? Deansgate is an area of Manchester.

yes, i mean do the majority of places have dress codes or are they fairly laid back?

thanks

I've never once been turned down to any venue on Deansgate, I've been to places like Label (quite up market) in my jeans and trainers on a friday night with no problem at all.

Deansgate Locks is a different matter, its just pure chav ville, pretty horrible.

Deansgate is just the name of a Road. It just depends on the bar or venue. There are loads of bars on Deansgate.

Oh behave, it's a got a good couple of clubs (Loaf, Revolution).

To the OP, provided you've made a bit of an effort and don't look a right scruff you'll be fine at 95% of places.

Effort as in don't wear jeans with holes in them, an un-ironed t-shirt with your tea down the front, or dirty trainers.

Casual is fine, so long as it isn't tatty or a tracksuit.

I don't get much of those posh bars, we went on the Living Room today and it was a bit of a hole. Yes it was nicely furnished but it was full of zoinks.
