Maybe Townsend will get an improvement from the camper van from where he did his "analysis".

Please BBC, win this bid! I'm sure crowd funding will garner the funds to prevent seeing Chiles/Townsend/Tydlesley.

I think this sums up how most people feel about this:

MOTD isn't great, but I remember the abomination that was ''The Premiership''. No thanks.

If the show runs through without any ads I couldn't care less, knowing ITV they'll probably be 4 ads every show tbh.

Maybe more. IIRC there were quite a few breaks during the hour and a half slot and they messed up by putting it on at 7pm.

If you can guarantee one thing with ITV, it's that there will be more adverts than match footage.

If I see Andy Townsend's Tactics Truck on my screen again I might actually create one and run him over repeatedly with it. Please win this BBC, Adrian Chiles scares grannies.

Terrible idea.

More Adrian Chiles is NOT what we need.

The only good thing is that we'd get 'Beautiful Day' back.

Going to be more ads now, and possibly Chiles/Tydsley/Townsend. Hope BBC win this.

I guess it's only because they won't broadcast live CL fixtures from next season.

Sports on TV is going to be absolute crap next year. BT Sports have already got all the rights to CL football and no way am I paying a subscription for that as well. Now I'm hearing this nonsense about ITV, great.

Don't think there's a single sane person who would prefer ITV football over BBC

They'd probably change it to one of U2's new songs - which are undeniably terrible.

Good? Couldn't think of anything worse than have anything U2 related on my television.

I can't really remember The Premiership, but from what I can remember it was awful.
