Have I ruined our little 'thing'?

Hi everyone,

Just need a bit of perspective on this. I had posted on a previous thread about approaching this guy.....

I got his number 2 days ago and texted him last night asking if he would like to meet up for a coffee. I still havent heard anything....:frown: . I asked if he wanted to meet on either Thursday or Friday. I'm just hoping I havent pushed him away and ruined our little 'thing' that we used to have. Maybe he has no credit? Or is he just not interested?

Please help....I'm losing sleep over this

Thanks

P.s. If I texted again, I think he will think I am stalking him  That is unless I have the wrong number......Such a cynic me...

Either you've been fake numbered or he has no credit/no battery/hasn't checked his phone. No use losing sleep over it, if it really bugs you, phone him, but don't text him again, no one wants to open their inbox and find like 5 new messages from one person within a week, kind of desperado...Good luck with it xxx
relax, dont send another text, and make a cup of tea. meeting up for a coffee shouldnt scare a guy. just be patient and see what happens

Thanks...I am usually such a patient person but i dont know why I'm feeling so nervous  lol. I'm just a bit worried that I may have got the wrong end of the stick (no pun intended:rolleyes: ) as to 'us'

Were you texting him regularly when you asked him for a drink? ie were you having a conversation? Or was it kind of out of the blue?
a coffe doesnt have to mean a date either, if the situation gets awkward say you just felt like company for a daily caffeine fix. either way, there's an easy way to get out of it.
OR!! he could be embarassed about his coffee allergy. so so so many possibilities.

WEll we speak regularly for hours on IM sometimes till like 2am!. I had sked him for his number over IM and then I just texted him to ask him to meet up. I guess the texting was out of the blue but we keep in regular contact over email and such......Why do you think it was too out of the blue and I have scared him away??

Yeh, that's what I thought. Even if he said no, it would be no biggie because we hardly SEE each other anyway. Last time was 2 yrs ago!

Hehe, i only asked because if it was out of the blue he may not have checked his mobile yet or had time to reply. If you were in a text conversation then the fact he hadn't replied for a day would mean something, as you weren't, theres nothing to worry about. If he IM's you later just ask if he got your message.

He probably wants to go with you, but doesn't want to say yes to soon for fear of appearing desperate.

i know exactly how you feel.
it sounds hard but give it some time; time is a virtue.
its probably coz he has no credit or something, i doubt hes ignoring you.

just don't text him for a while, wait for him to text you, if he doesnt then perhaps get in touch with him after a few weeks.. just don't push too much now.

Thanks Zafda...no no I'm not going to text again. I was just wondering what he's thinking...... I was just worried that I read him wrong or something. i guess I'm just not used to this type of thing. But its good to hear the voice of reason now and again

no you havent ruined it as such....there might be a good enough reason why he hasn't text you back. If you want my advice, move on kinda thing, dont hang around. Plenty more fish hun!! xx:smile:
