Shy lad....

I like this lad in my Chemistry class, he's really shy and I would like to get to know him more. I've spoken to him a few times. From when I first spoken to him, I thought he's a really friendly guy and I like him more...

Thats just the beginning... I'm planning to maybe talk to him more and perhaps make an excuse of asking him if he could help me on chemistry as I'm 'stuck' on some bits...

BUT If you're a shy lad, how would you feel if a girl asked if you could help her? And also if the girl kept talking to you whenever she sees you? would you think she likes you?

And also do you guys like it if a girl starts the conversation first?

I'm pretty shy and as for girls starting the conversation first, thats ideal as thats perhaps the only way the conversation is going to exist as I very rarely make the first move in that respect. As for asking him for help, its a pretty good indication that you like him especially if you make it obvious that your not really that stuck at all but to be honest, men sometimes find it very hard to read signals and even when their reading them, they still have doubts in their mind so instead of just dropping hints here and there its probably better if your a bit more straightforward, ask him out for a date or something.

For any shy person having someone instigate conversation is great, it's the only way forward It's a big sign that you're interested so that will make him happy and he'll probs feel more comfortable around you. He probably doesn't have a whole load of other friends if he's shy so you could very quickly become one of his close friends Just say hi to him in the corridor, and yes i strongly advise you should use the old 'I'm stuck' technique, works like a charm Good luck x
