Graphic Mum – bleeding after menopause. Worried

My mum (who's 56) got taken into hospital yesterday. She’s basically going through the menopause (I don’t know how far along, anything like that) she’s on some tablets HRT or something like that (been taking them for a few years with no problems). However, she’s been getting regular bleeding, sort of like monthly periods. She went to the doctors, and they sent her to hospital for some tests to try and work out what’s wrong. She’s had a D&C and a few other things; they said they would allow her to go home and contact in a few weeks with her test results. I’m basically just a bit worried about what could be wrong with her? I know this isn’t the best place to ask for advice regarding any of this stuff, but I was maybe hoping someone could offer some advice or just something to put my mind at rest, as I’m getting quite worried now.

Just let her know that you're there for her, and although it's inevitable that you're going to worry, it's unlikely that this is very serious. Just try to get on with life normally if you can

Good luck
Her body's back in business?

Maybe she has something called fibriods..i know it happens to older women and they bleed alot heavier than periods do my aunt used to have them, think their like small growths on the lining of the womb...not life threatening or anything tho. She was never rushed to hospital or anything tho, she just got on with it...google it and see whether it could be a possibility.

Hope everything works out fine
