I have the geog skills paper in almost two weeks and I haven't even been given a single practice paper yet. Does anyone know the types of things likely to come up, and what should I revise?

    Thanks

Hey! I am. I'm assuming you've done at least 2 days of fieldwork (physical and human)? I did a week residential in preparation for the exam. Topics to look out for are coasts, rivers, and land use in CBDs. These are the most common. Make sure you know procedures for field work, how you'd analyse results, limitations and a variety of hypotheses that could be tested. Hope that helps. If you want more specifics, just ask

Thanks . Yeah we spent last week in Swanage looking at rivers, coasts, sand-dunes, etc. We also did a day in Southampton doing shopping questionnaires.

You should be fine then! Just make sure you know the procedures you used inside out, and you'll do great. Your teacher should get some past papers thought, just to familiarise yourself with the layout. The papers don't seem too difficult though, good luck for the exam, and let me know how you found it afterwards

I have the skills paper in two weeks, but WJEC = exam board. I got the past papers today (only two though) and they are more difficult than i thought they'd be, so i'm worrying now! But they're not that bad really. Just gotta learn sampling types etc. But some Qs are so...weird and random...in my opinion. Gute lucke. x
