isnt there anywere were IB says wot calc they allow !!
i would rather do it without a calc then !

there is no precise model guidline
what there is, is a sheet that says what the calc should be able to do and what it should not

its allowed..ive seen the list and lots of ppl in my school use it. its better apart from the downside of not having stats as the ti-83 does, bt u can download a addon to the ti86 software (allowed by ib) to make it.

you are in fact allowed the Ti86.

THE IB IS A FUCKIN FAG FOR NOT GIVING ITS REGULATIONS OUT.

haha then you're welcome my (practically) fellow arab.

usually, u *should* be allowed programs. They shouldnt be resetting any1's calcs, altho they usually check them.

yea just came back from the exam.. i resetted the calc before entering lol
but they didnt even check the calcs and there was an IB guy sitting in the exam hall

I use TI-83 Plus (absolutely the BEST, by the way) and they didn't check them. Our school recommended this calc, so we know it's ok. It's a life saver with the stats...

An overwhelming majority of people have the Ti83+, it's nothing special.

I hate the Ti, primarily coz i was forced to buy it. the HP does more shit and looks better doing it. But corrupted bureaucratized IB bans the HP and wants the Ti.

The TI-83 plus and me are bonded. I read the whole book and just adore it. And you call it "nothing special"? It solves equations equalling zero, linear equations, quadratics, nasty integrals, complex numbers, inequalities, and even does great work with the stats option. It also draws fractals like the sierpinski sieve.
and I don't like HP. (maybe the IB have a deal with TI...)
