nottingham rock city

iv got tickets for a gig at rock city in january but some of the group are 17 - how strict is the venue on ID cos iv just realised the venue is over18s only

Depends how old they look. I went to a gig back in July and they didn't check my ID at the entrance and I'm 19 and look it (though they might if you try to buy alcohol, but I wasn't so I don't know about that).

EDIT: Some gigs are over 14s though and the gig I went to might have been, I'm not sure. So it depends whether the one you're going to is for over 18s only because some aren't.

You may well get ID'd at the door, they are pretty strict on it most of the time. However, once you're in, the bar staff won't give you any grief. It's actually worse the other way round - i'm 20 and i've been to a few 14+ gigs, and got ID'd at the bar every time!!
