Also, is anybody taking their car, if they can drive? Cause I've got one, and I know it'd be useful, but I don't know if I'd be able to afford it. What's everyone elses thoughts on this!?

i'm staying at firth point.

i was going to take my car, but it turns out they only had 6 spaces and they were all taken up, so i'd have to park somewhere else, which i'm not liking. also don't know what the car crime is like, and i don't think i'll be able to afford insurance anyway, so may end up not taking the car

I'll be going to Storthes. Cant drive (apart from other people mad) so I wont be taking a car. From what I've read though, theres not much parking at the Uni itself and it will probably be cheaper to leave the car at home.

I originally thought about taking my bike (push bike) - then I saw the hill going up to Storthes and said "Sod that for a laugh!" :eek:

I'll also be at Storthes. I wish I had the choice of taking a car, but i can't even drive, so thats that!

I really really hope that i get put with people that I like!! And that are also tidy lol

Taking my car would make getting to work a lot more easier, since I'll probably end up working in Bradford or Leeds, but I know I couldn't afford to keep it running. Plus my mum's possibly getting a lease car for work and my dad'll need my car when she's working.

I'll miss my little car when I'm away though.

Not sure if any of you know, but Hudds Student Union website has added their freshers section, doesnt have much information there at the moment but looks like it will do over the coming weeks/months.

JJ (Ju Jitsu) is a definate for me. I have done a striking martial art for nearly 5 years so its time to add another area to my fight. Possibly mountaineering too.

On results day I will contact a few lads I know who teach martial arts in the Huddersfield and Leeds area to see about training with them (can you tell I want more MA?). One I believe trains in Huddersfield Leisure Centre and is a Grand Master in stick-fighting so I am definately heading there! :biggrin:
