Im just looking around for insurance now. Natwest is gonna be like....£57.50 for me. Not too bad. Gonna look at a few others tho. I got my half of the contract back 2day. I just want info! :mad: lol. I think I'll go a week saturday aswell. Get settled in properly.

got some info today and we get timetables during our fresher week lectures etc - though im not 100% on that, just stating what i said in my little timetable thing for the week starting the 19th.

still trying some insurance places, E&L seem pretty good, so do natwest. Saxon also seem to be ok, but their website is nae worky at the mo :frown:

All this talk of packing is getting me concerned...

hey i'm off to hudds too, studying social work. i'm glad that its not only me who has not recieved much info! i cant believe that we go in just over a week anybody else freaked out???

Im starting to get freaked out now! lol. just been out for a meal with my friends to say goodbye coz one of them leaves 2moro. horrible :frown: the open mic nite sounds gud! not that i'd do anythin...i just like goin to those kinda things :smile:

Hmm. Got the Health thing, and something from ASDA for students...
I hope i don't seriously miss out on stuff, cos I can't help but arrive Monday morning. Think I've gotta register with the doctor that afternoon too.

Right this will answer some questions and sort some worries. Just got off the phone to Campus digs after waiting in a que for about an hour lol.

Room numbers are been sorted as I speak and we should recieve them Monday

Insurance can be sorted in freshers week, there is an insurance company coming offering some great offers. An example is £20 a year for up to £4000 worth of possesions, so i'm just waiting till then.

Aye, it's pretty decent, and I'm not certain, but there might be a separate price just for computer equipment.

But monday you say for room numbers. I wonder if anyone on this site will be placed together.

Give em a call. I called the Digs people, got some info on the flat numbers, (after some communication problems) but I've left the rest up to chance.
I see Huddersfield as being a "cool" uni. I reckon they're laid back, but efficient. :cool:

Oooo monday!! I got a pack a while ago with stuff like make sure u have these injections and a sheet with pre course reading and what time to be there on the monday but it didnt have anythin about freshers week in it. :frown:
Hi everyone. This is my first post, didn't find this site long ago.
Anyway been reading this thread for a bit. Im off to Huddersfield Uni too and just thought I'd say I have only just recieved information about the freshers week. Although the timetable does not seem the most informative. Spose I'll just go on Monday 19th and wander round. lol
I can't help on the accomodation side of things though, Im staying at home.
Oh and I am studying Criminology and Politics. Sounds pretty dull don't it... lol
