It sound like you have gone from one extreme: doing nothing; to the other extreme: too much, too soon. I think jogging is not a good exercise to do to get fit to start with, bad for your joints and back - too much impact. However, if you are going to go jogging, try jogging on soft ground and not on tarmac.
Do you have a bicycle? If so, start cycling, set yourself a sensible goal, distance/ time and try to increase it bit by bit - for God's sake do not do too much, too soon; you will do more harm than good.
If you can join a gym - have a personal fitness plan set up for you and train sensibly.
