Not 100% sure this is the right place to post this, but here goes.
I'm currently in my first year at Brighton Uni and am going to leave (don't enjoy my course at all) but I love Brighton and want to come back next year. I want to come to Sussex next year to do Psychology, but with my A-level results (BBB) I'd have to retake two of my subjects. I've heard Sussex are offering ABB for Psychology if you firm them but obviously its risky.
Anyone know if its possible to retake my A-levels without going back to sixth form? Whats everyones opinions on this too..

Thanks x

You need an exam centre to take the exams at. Your previous school might be willing to let you take exams there if you don't have lessons, or you might need to go somewhere else. Exam boards publish lists on their websites of places that might take you, but you need to contact nearby schools and colleges. Different exam centres will charge different fees, so you might want to shop around for the best price.

You can just study on your own using textbooks and other resources. TSR has a good study help section if you get stuck on any topic.
You might want to hire a private tutor for extra lessons - either all year, or just when you need extra help.
Some colleges will offer evening classes - if so, they usually act as your exam centre too.
There are companies that offer home study options. These are expensive, and they usually expect you to find your own exam centre. So you're just paying for textbooks and a tutor that you can email. Some people like this, but a lot of people think it's a waste of money.

Some subjects are easier to study privately. It is difficult to find somewhere to take practical exams, and also somewhere to mark coursework.
