Poker society at Lancaster?

I was searching for it today and yesterday at the Fresher's Fair but couldn't see it. I heard there was one, does anybody know if there is, or are a member of it?

I saw it! It was near the Barclays table today in the Great Hall .... if that was the first room everyone got directed into :confused:

Yeah I signed up, first game is Monday night 6pm at Furness LT3.

Does anyone know how to get in touch with the poker soc, ie email address?? As I cant make that game & wanna know when theres another

If you go on the Lancaster website, you might be able to register for societies on there, that's how I joined the English Language and Linguistics Society coz I didn't see that one at Fresher's Fair either. A poker society sounds really cool, I like poker so may join :biggrin:

i went tonight, about 50-60 people there.

I came 4th, won £70!!!

Next one is on Friday, 6pm in Fylde (sorry I don't remember what the guy said, but it's in Fylde somewhere)

u a good player then?? How many chips you get n what the blinds like & that??

You pay £10. You get 3000 chips. Blinds start at 50/100. They go up when the guy decides its time (every 20-30 mins or so).

I would say i'm a good player but I definitely got lucky on some occasions. I suckered some guys out on the river a few times when I was all in, but hey, that's poker!

There's also a poker society, the real subject of this thread. Anyway, I realised I was in for a tough time when I went last week and the other people on my table were having a debate over the percentage chance of the hand AK winning against 10, 10 "53%" "no it's 57%" lol.....
