Just use some sea salt and hot water on it to cool it down, it'll be fine, same thing happened to me.

Just randomly one day started to burn up, then it started to bleed, keep cleaning it for a while and it should be ok.

If it was done with a gun, that's pretty normal. If it was, and they gave you some solution stuff, don't use it. Stick to sea-salt soaks instead (1/4tsp sea salt to 8oz hot/warm water). Much better.

Also, if it was done with a gun you may be sensitive to the crap jewellery and you might wanna get the jewellery changed to a titanium barbell.

But yeah, whether needle or gun, stick to sea salt soaks and make sure you keep hair products away from it, change your pillowcase and stuff too. And try not to use that ear for your phone.

My girlfriend has a pierced cartilage, she washes it daily with salt and water. It does tend to hurt and go bright red when she knocks it, but that eases with time (albeit it could be 6 months before she doesn't have to worry about it).
mine has been red and swollen for the last year and a half....i think i knocked it when i first had it done. The fire feeling will go but it will probably stay swollen for a while

I had mine done with a gun about 8 years ago and it still gives me trouble sometimes now! I think my problem was that I took the earring out too early, only after about 6 weeks, when it should have been left in! If I sleep funny on it, it can get really sore, or if I put something that's not gold-plated in it.
