Not at all, you sound like my friend's girlfriend!

I am not his girlfriend though, does that make a difference?

If a boy you have been dating contacts your best friend to hang out, does that mean he wants a round with her too????

Maybe he wants to talk about you :p:

To hang out as in just the two of them? That being the case: hell yes it means he wants a go with her.

I suspect she's the friend, but decided to tell the story in an obscure 3rd person way...

Well no, you can date someone and not be their girlfriend/boyfriend.

Semantics! You can date someone and not exclusively be their girlfriend/boyfriend, other than that it's down to interpretation.

Well girlfriend/boyfriend implies exclusivity does it not?

Probably, I mean I probably would be but it depends how fit your friend is i.e. if she looks like a walruss probably no and how much of a player this guy is i.e. is he just moving tho women and you were a stop on the line???

Not really... not in my opinion anyway. Like I said it's semantics.
Surprisingly enough, not all men are the same, and as such you can't make judgements about their behaviour according to some general rule. It may be that he is interested in the friend sexually, but it's equally plausible that he likes her just as a friend. Especially since we know absolutely nothing about the guy, how can we possibly guess his motives from a single sentence explaining the situation?

I'm very sorry, I just didn't want to be boring with all the details!

He's not a player at all, in fact, I think I'm the first girl to come around his block in quite awhile. I talked about it with him today and he said that he asked for her number because a friend of his had supposedly made out with her earlier, and wanted her number, ontop of the fact that we had been mentioning her occasionally in conversation during our date and he hadn't seen her around for a long time.
paranoia can be quite unattractive
