There seemed to be a vendetta against one of the candidates - seemingly with a racial motivation.

Racial motivation? Where do you get that from, if anything that article makes it clear that there was no racial motivation at all.

You are quite keen to talk trash about alsorts of stuff which you have no idea about, aren't you? I was closely involved in both of these incidents (China and Union) and you only know what you have read in articles which have little or no fact in them. Get some fact before you start making accusations of Racial motivation.

    Moron.

I never said that your attack was racially motivated. It probably wasn't - you've made other complaints about other members of the union in the past which clearly weren't motivated in that way. But I do believe that the broader campaign against her was, in part, racist.

The article, of course, does nothing of the sort.

You do, really, what makes you think that?

Do you know me? Do you know her? Or are you as I suspect completely moronic. This was the first(and I hope last) election tribunal I was ever involved in. I believe that you know substantially less than you think you know. Please feel free to visit the Union document archive housed on my site. Come back when you have some clue about what you are talking.

I wouldn't say he was being "moronic" Matthew, you do seem to get yourself into 'trouble' often enough. .

This is getting a bit heated. There isn't any need for name-calling.
You have made complaints against committee members, albeit before an election. You stopped Willem Marx running, for example. So I stand by my earlier comment.

Willem Marx stopped himself from running by being in serious dereliction of his duty. If I hadn't done that someone else would have.

I think you're a bit of a sad case for doing at all that chinese stuff. Don't you feel like a complete ******?

There are other ways to visit other countries. Fair enough, I understand that if someone was stupid enough not to do thier research well enough to give away a free trip then that's their own fault. But seriously, what fun did you get out of it? Don't you feel a little silly?

I thoroughly enjoyed it all. I don't feel at all silly.

I throughly enjoyed it all. I don't feel at all silly.

Do you not have an ounce of remorse at least? Do you think it was right to do it?

Fair enough, you do not feel silly, but surely you see that it was a most silly thing to do, despite your 'thorough enjoyment'?

Certainly you cannot have enjoyed the absconding part? Feeling like some escapee.....on the run.......embarassed.....an apparent fraud....deciever......no?

Again you only know what the papers told you, there is much more too it. I had a great time.

Well how can I find out what the papers didn't tell me? I want to know. What amount of great times could justify the embarrassment and immorality of the whole sorry episode?

Although, I will concede, you were a little brave in following it through...or perhaps stupid. Interesting nonetheless.

If you don't know as a fact then don't speculate... I'm close friends with her, there wasn't any racism in it, people seemed to have a problem with just her, which she backs up. Last term's Secretary and next term's Treasurer is a Muslim, admired by everyone cos he's never put a foot wrong.

Well, I feel entitled to give my personal opinion. It isn't mere speculation, it's opinion - and I presented it as such. I do concede, 'though, that you're likely to be more informed than me.
